Volkswagen Beetle Diesel tuned by ABT Sportsline ,




ABT Sportsline, the motor racing and auto tuning company based in Germany have turned their attention to the new Volkswagen Beetle giving it a number of power upgrades along with cosmetic changes.  The tuners have given its engine various upgrades which enhances power from the new 2.0 TDI engine from 138 hp to 168 hp while torque is increased from 320 Nm to 370 Nm. This also contributes to better acceleration timing from 9.4 seconds to 8.8 seconds for 0-100 kmph.
Mechanical upgrades include lower suspension spring kit and double walled stainless steel rear silencers. In the front are headlight brows and front spoiler. Also seen are twin oval exhaust pipes, head and tail lamp covers and license plate insert.
Customers will be given an option between alloy wheels in 18" or 20" along with high performance tyres. The new 2013 Volkswagen Beetle TDI is expected to hit company showrooms in August, prices are slated to begin from $23,295 onwards.
